Well the wet and cold are here for a few days. A cold front is moving th

ought that has brought severe weather across the states. Florida always gets the tail end of these fronts and it creates a temporary imbalance throughout the  ecosystem. A time for all the critters to move around and establish more favorable conditions. I love exploring a couple days after cold fronts because you never know  what is going to move through.

Nascar and Family Day

Well I have never been to a Nascar event before last night and it was well worth it. Those cars are loud and mean. everybody had scrapes and bumps all over in the end. Watching the pit crew do their thing with such precision was an awesome spectacle. Overall my buddy Dave and I

had a blast, look forward to next year..

Friday...

Did a little camping last night on Keewaydin last night. got on the water around three in the afternoon and headed south. The night was calm with a little well needed wind from the NW. The bugs were not bad but we did need to take a boat ride at sunset. Walking the trails at night we came across a few hogs and they were not afraid. Might be time to go down and take a few for the fire.. Carry on.

Thursday 13th

Went fishing with my day yesterday. Looked at some property in Port of the Isles and did a tour around the outer keys to check things out.  Pablo caught one black drum and we both caught a few Jacks. It was a beautiful cool day with a slight breeze but the water was a little murky. We have had some strong winds in the last few days and that has everything stirred up..

Port o Isles Today

Taking my father Paul Schryver to look at a piece of property today south of Goodland. Going to splash in Goodland and run the back way to government cut before Indian Key. The weather is  calm and cool and will feel good to get out in the sun,and any day with my dad is a good one..

The Fall weather is here in Naples Florida

Its cool and calm in Naples Florida. The birds are startng to show up  down south and the beaches. The fishing is great and the bait is plentiful. The Red fish are cruising the flats and oyster bars. The biggeSnook are in deeper water around the passes and docks..

Thursday Mornin Fishin..

Fished Brian and Mary yesterday out of Goodland. The bait was relatively easy to find so that made for a fun day. We headed toward Indian key and the mouth of Everglades looking for snook and .  The fish were biting and we missed a backwater slam by a tarpon. Looking forward to future fishing because this is one of my favorite times of year..

Fall is in the air

Its starting to get hilly in the morning in Naples Florida. The white pelicans should be here within the month. the bird population is about to with all the northern flocks headed for warmer weather. The fishing would be good if the wind would die down..

The cool weather has moved in and it feels great. The shiners are thick along the beach but the Gulf is stirred up maby look at the back  beaches for bait. will start their migration along the coast and the King fish have already moved in. The time is great if you want to catch some bigger fish, just put  in the time and be patient..

Well I had a great trip to Tennessee this past week. Saw a lot of deer sign and hunted like a loon for 7 days. Nothing for the pot but had a lot of laughs. Naples  is a great town but its nice to get away to see the world once in a while

There were over fifty snook crusing the beaches this morning. here are some random shots from  recent adventures. Moving my x 30' pontoon boat to another location..

Naples fishing

Had a really fun trip last evening. After working on the island for a few hours, Joey and i took off for a little backwater action. the red fish and jack were chomping on bait left and right. it was a lot of fun..

Shark and Cobia

had a great trip with some young bucks who wanted big fish. had our shots at a few Goliath grouper but never got one to the boat. The Cobia hit off the bottom on a live bait and came to the surface with a tag along with her. We headed to the beach after boating another keeper Cobia and an oversize Snook. The Blacktip were running the beaches and I think we caught four to 120 lbs. All with a healthy release..

Naples Fishing

The air is cooling down and the fish are biting. Naples is on fire with the redfish in the backwater and on the beaches.  The near shore wrecks are producing oversize snook and cobia..
